Balsall Common

Film Appreciation

Status:Active, open to new members
Coordinator:
When: Monthly on Wednesday afternoons 1:45 pm-4:30 pm
2nd Wednesday of each Month
Venue: Balsall Common Village Hall - Westlake Room
Cost: £2.50 per Film

We are showing a wide variety of films projected onto the large screen in the Westlake room at the Village Hall, new members are always welcome to this friendly group; there is no need to commit to every meeting, if you would like to see the film — just let the co-ordinator know and turn up!

Our showings start at 2:00 pm and will have a short discussion about the film after the showing, covering its aesthetics (look), topicality (to the time it was made), acting and directing (and whether it was any good). There is a charge of £2.50 per member per film, covering the cost of the films and the room hire.

The Film Appreciation Group is open to all u3a members, there is no specific group membership. Non-u3a members will not be admitted to this group. It should be noted that this is a film appreciation and discussion group, NOT a cinema group.

The Westlake Room is limited in size, so I would ask that you confirm your attendance via an email to the coordinator
